The Netherlands had her smoking ban commence on July 1, 2008 in restaurants, bars and cafés. The ban forced entrepreneurs of these venues to create a smoking area, or making smokers have their cigarette-break outside.

Jantjes Verjaardag is a large bar/dancing in the Reguliersdwarsstraat in Amsterdam. Owner Jan Kruiter wanted to get rid of the typical musty air in his smoking area that is often the case in such spaces. Therefore, he placed two Extreme Air-Sensations. “They draw in the air from the top of the room and filtrate it. After that, the machine blows out clean air from floor level, without you feeling a thing of this process. An ideal system, in our ‘smoke-pit’ you are never suffocated by smoke”, Kruiter proudly explains. “Our smoking area is a comfortable place to hang around in, and used by a great many people. Carrying out the success, we decided to expand our smoking area”

Jimmy Woo
Jimmy Woo has grown out to one of the most famous clubs in the Netherlands. The trendy club near the Leidseplein in Amsterdam rebuilt the office into a smoking area because of the smoking ban. The cosy smoking area has been designed in the same style as the rest of the club and contains two Extreme Air-Sensations. Extreme Air-Products also took care of the ventilation in the smoking area. The relatively small space can easily fit in twenty smokers at the same time, while maintaining a comfortable air climate and atmosphere when they quench their need for smoking. Because of the enormity of the capacity of the treatment of the air in this smoking area, the tobacco smoke is banned rapidly from the breathing zone to be purified.
